Cardiff RSL Club HR Manager
Part-time - School Hours Considered | $90K-$110K FTE
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a flexible role where you can make a genuine impact? Cardiff RSL Club is seeking a proactive HR Manager to support our people strategy, lift standards, and help shape the culture of a respected community club - with flexibility to suit part-time or school hours.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys strategic oversight and guidance, with the ability to delegate day-to-day initiatives to an internal team member, while retaining ownership of compliance, people strategy, and best practice.
About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee HR operations, policy governance, and staff development. While club industry experience is advantageous, it is not essential. The role focuses on strategic HR leadership, with operational support available in-house to deliver specific initiatives.
Key focus areas include award interpretation, compliance, recruitment oversight, and Return to Work programs, while mentoring and guiding internal resources to execute agreed HR activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Review, update, and oversee implementation of HR policies in line with awards and legislation
- Provide expert interpretation of the Registered & Licenced Clubs Award
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training frameworks, with delivery support
from internal staff - Manage Return to Work programs and WHS compliance
- Provide strategic oversight of roster design and separation of duties
- Maintain governance of staff records, skills registers, and HR documentation
- Guide and support counselling and disciplinary processes
- Coordinate key HR meetings, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Champion a positive, inclusive, and improvement-focused workplace culture
- Strong HR experience in a fast-paced environment (club experience a bonus)
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation, awards, and compliance
- Comfortable working independently while delegating and supporting in-house resources
- Highly organised with strong documentation and governance skills
- A confident communicator who builds trust and lifts standards
- Passionate about people, culture, and continuous improvement
